Lasagna

I don't have a picture of my lasagna so I give you...Garfield lol

I like making lasagna at home because my 5 year old can easily help without really messing anything up. She likes to spread the ricotta cheese on the pasta and sprinkle cheese on top.

Ingredients:

  • Lasagna pasta

  • Ricotta cheese

  • Ragu sauce (or your choice/homemade)

  • Ground turkey (or beef)

  • Shredded cheese (your choice)

  • 3 eggs

  • Garlic salt

  • Onion powder

  • Oregano

  • Salt

Directions:

  • Boil water and place pasta in pot (follow instructions on pasta box for boiling times)

  • Cook turkey meat until done

  • Pour in Ragu sauce with meat and let simmer 15 minutes

  • By now pasta should be done

  • While sauce is simmering, mix ricotta, eggs and seasonings in a bowl

  • By now meat sauce should be done

  • Now you're going to layer all ingredients in a pan, I would start with pouring some sauce at the bottom of the pan.

  • Place 3 pasta strips in the pan on the sauce

  • Spread ricotta cheese mix on the pasta

  • Top with meat sauce

  • Sprinkle shredded cheese on top

  • Repeat 2 more times.

  • Place a foil tent on top of the pan (as pictured below)

  • Bake for 1 hour at 350 degrees

  • Let sit for at least 30 minute before cutting into it, this will help the lasagna thicken and not fall apart.
