Knock knock, I'm here!

Hi everyone! It’s been a couple of weeks since I’ve said hello. That is because it has been a little chaotic in all aspects of my life but things are about to settle soon. The latest news (if you read my last blog) is that we bought our first house! Still feels very surreal and I am so in love with our home. We work hard every day to get it just the way we want it, we are Rectorizing it…hehe. If you didn’t like that, let that be your personal problem lol

Some chaos:

• We are still working on cleaning up the last house so that we can wipe our hands clean of it and be done, the chains will be gone come August 31st!

• We’re also in the process of getting the kiddos ready for school, they begin on the 28th. I need to help my oldest daughter complete her summer math project and we’ll probably wait last minute and it’ll turn out awesome, as always.

• School supplies emptied our pockets and we haven’t even begun clothes and shoe shopping yet! I loathe school supply shopping by the way. What the heck is a Viz-a-vet wet erase marker? And WHY does my child need this? Oh, wait she doesn’t, it’s for the teachers. I’m not complaining though…

• Work is work, like it is for anyone else. I go, work my hardest, don’t get everything done but enough to survive the day, then I earn a satisfying paycheck…one that I hand over to bills and my children and sometimes a nice time out with the husband. But at least I like what I do and don’t hesitate to get out of bed, or sit in the parking lot amping myself up to get out the car, or watch the clock from 3 pm until close so I can run out of there like the roadrunner. Trust me, I’ve been there and don’t want to go back.

I am ranting here but let the ranting commence:

• We have a meet the teacher Tuesday night and a meet the teacher Thursday night, both nights we drop off school supplies that will probably all be dumped together to ration out between all students including those who did not or could not get their own school supplies. Again, I’m not complaining.

• I am currently waiting for my classes to post (oh yeah, did I mention that I, too, am in school?) so that I can rent my books from Amazon and no one has posted anything. Meanwhile, I watch my husband do his school work (oh yeah, him too) every week and dread about my own I will be doing alongside with him, all while we’re on baby duty. Helpful tip, we make sure not both of us are taking exams at the same time in case LJ decides to throw a baby tantrum, one of us has to be on call.

Some good stuff:

• My husband hooked up his game room with a projector screen and surround sound and I cannot WAIT to have our first movie night.

The Rector’s are real big on movie night. We tested it out last night during WWE Summer slam and it was epic! First movie in line is Guardians of the Galaxy 2. I haven’t seen it yet so don’t tell me anything

• I have the bedroom of my dreams and every time I walk in the room or climb in the bed I feel like I’m in a nice hotel…need some more décor but it’s well on its way. I’ve never really been on a king size bed before.

• Lastly, I’m blessed, we’re blessed. We’ve worked so hard for years and we are just so very blessed!

Well then, just wanted to poke my head in, say hello and give a quick update on what the life has been like for the Rector’s. I’ll be poking my head in again real soon as the dust begins to settle and I relax into some real blog time. Until we meet again...
